Your territory
As part of our innovative Software Development team, you will:
- Design, operate, and optimize highly scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS-based infrastructure
- Define and manage cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CDK and CloudFormation
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Bitbucket Pipelines
- Elevate practices to achieve best-in-class operational excellence by continuously optimizing how Tractive’s systems are operated
- Implement security best practices in cloud environments, network security, and data protection
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using AWS ECS, Docker Swarm, and similar technologies
- Mentor engineers, foster knowledge-sharing, and contribute to strategic initiatives
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to maintain system reliability
- Bring in fresh ideas to make Tractive better – you’ll never hear the phrase, “...because that’s how we’ve always done things”
- Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show potential, and attend workshops that help get to the next level
Your profile
Key requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, ideally in a high-scale SaaS environment
- Background in software engineering with knowledge of distributed systems, algorithms, and data stores
- Significant experience with AWS or other cloud providers like Azure or GCP
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK, Ansible, or Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Bitbucket Pipelines
- Extensive experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or New Relic
- Strong understanding of security best practices, including identity and access management, networking, and encryption
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex distributed systems
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Valid Austrian work permit

Salary range Just so you know what to expect: For this position, we offer a competitive overpayment based on qualification and experience. Annual gross salary starts at € 75.000 full-time. At Tractive, that means a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend. If you bring relevant experience in many of the fields of responsibility, the salary will be considerably higher.
