People Analytics & Insights within HR are playing a pivotal role in enabling the modernisation of data capabilities and intelligence at the BBC. Developing and implementing the systems, processes and data which underpin our extended workforce is a key, BBC-wide program of work.

The role of Senior Delivery Manager is pivotal in transforming the coverage and interoperability of our workforce analytics, built through effective partnerships and enterprise thinking, in order to deliver an extended suite of data and insight products alongside our existing capabilities. Excellent stakeholder management skills will enable delivery of a high-value portfolio of work, in a collaborative way.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

As a Senior Delivery Manager within the People Analytics team, you will play a leading role in implementing, prioritising and leading portfolio management of critical HR data and analytics products. Implementing an agile framework to manage the discovery, definition, design and implementation of operational and analytical reporting capabilities across the BBC’s extensive workforce. Working with a broad spectrum of analysts, engineers, technology, product, HR and finance stakeholders. Supporting the Head of Data in establishing a strategic roadmap, and new ways of working.

You will be engaged in all aspects of demand and prioritisation, leading to the design, specification, testing, development, deployment and product success. As a QA advocate, you will be reviewing new features against existing products and services to ensure consistency and interoperability of data and systems.

You’ll support the Head of Data in designing an agile, product-centric analytics suite and take responsibility for implementation and adoption. You’ll partner with colleagues in technology and systems, to ensure process, system and data outcomes are effectively planned and delivered; Working collaboratively to map delivery outcomes against HR capabilities, as well as identifying opportunities to improve existing HR data capabilities enterprise-wide.

Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience

We focus on hiring for potential at the BBC, so the main requirement for the position is a strong analytical mindset.

Some of the things we love:

  • Strong experience of successfully implementing agile ways of working, designing effective workflows and collaborative documentation and tooling (preferably JIRA and Confluence).
  • Extensive data and analytics experience, either within a federated data domain or a centralised enterprise centre of excellence.
  • Previous exposure to modern Data and analytics architecture, across data ingestion, preparation, operations and visualisation (Tableau, PowerBI, Python, SQL, DBT, Redshift)
  • Experience of data management principles, documentation, and delivery, including data mapping, metrics governance and cataloguing
  • Proven experience of delivering in a matrix environment, to measurably achieve strategic goals using an OKR framework
