We’re currently recruiting for a Data Systems MI Analyst to join our Finance and Actuarial Operations team. The role will appeal to a colleague with more technical/analytical data background with focus developing and maintaining systems to access, analyse and interpret business data to develop insights and support business decision making.

The role

  • Develops and maintains financial data structures and systems to ensure accurate and efficient data collection and analysis.
  • Monitors data quality and integrity, implementing controls and processes to mitigate risks.
  • Manages financial software systems, ensuring they are optimised for performance and user needs.
  • Leads system upgrades and integrations, collaborating with IT and external vendors.
  • Designs and supports production of regular management reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide actionable insights into financial performance.
  • Develops tools to analyse trends and variances, providing explanations and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensures compliance with financial regulations, risk framework, internal policies, and best practices in data management and reporting.
  • Promotes a continuous performance improvement culture, encouraging innovation and growth
  • Effective engagement with stakeholders on impact, timescales and customer outcomes.
  • Applying and assimilating external insights to ensure the strategic and operational priorities are appropriate.
  • Ensuring a continually high quality output to ensure solutions are a good fit for the end user and/or for further input.
  • Effectively communicating complex information to a wide group of senior stakeholders against a background of continuous internal and external change.
  • Managing change - ensuring improvements are customer driven, taking account of corporate and divisional strategies.
  • Continuously develop knowledge and skills. Embrace and use new tools and best practice. Provide advice and support for colleagues in the team.
