Job Description: As a Data Operations Specialist at Ubisoft Montreal, you will join the Data Office team as part of the Production Intelligence project. Your role will be to contribute to the creation, structuring and maintenance of reliable production data, shared with teams such as production, marketing, sales and management, using consistent and relevant metrics.

As a Data Operations Specialist, you will ensure the quality, consistency and usability of data. You will develop a deep understanding of the data ecosystem, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and contribute to establishing more standardized and sustainable data practices. This highly visible position involves close collaboration with many teams across the organization.

What you will do:

  • Analyze the analytic and operational needs of production teams and partners
  • Support production teams in implementing tools according to common guidelines
  • Act as a point of contact for data collection, validation and usage
  • Define and promote a common data language
  • Maintain a knowledge base on data, management rules and lifecycle
  • Map data sources and their local use, then contribute to a unified vision
  • Track data quality indicators and identify root causes of inconsistencies
  • Propose and apply correction and standardization plans, including governance
  • Design or improve automated tools and solutions to support data operations

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of data management principles
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel and platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks
  • Knowledge of production management tools like Jira
  • Good understanding of data modeling concepts
  • Knowledge of Python or another programming language
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI is an asset
  • Knowledge of data transformation processes, including ETL, is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to simplify complex topics
  • Organized, rigorous, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach
