We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Head of Creative & Media Services to join our Group Marketing & Brand team. We’ll be hosting a virtual open forum on if you would like to hear more about this role and ask any questions.

Location: This is a hybrid role with the expectation of a minimum of 2 days a week in the Edinburgh office.

Salary and benefits: £90,000 - £110,000 plus an indicative bonus range of 30%-60%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more

The role
Transform the creative and media services we provide to all brands to ensure best in class services delivery for the BU and Brand Marketing & Experience teams, providing outputs that will achieve the desired commercial and corporate outcomes with maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and lead a hybrid creative services capability for the business blending in-house expertise with outsourced partner agencies (creative, production, media and design)
- Lead all resource planning, trafficking, buying and production delivery (incl procuring through 3rd party agencies)
- Deliver best in class creative responses to all marketing, design, campaign and content communication briefs
- Ensure all creative work is in line with brand code and guideline implementation on a right first time basis – working with the brand management team in Marketing Excellence to ‘push’ the guidelines without losing brand consistency
- Ensure all copywriting and content that is produced is in line with tone of voice guidelines for each audience
- Ensure excellent creative and production delivery with 3rd party agencies, overseeing their outputs – incl training BU teams on what good creative looks like etc, how to give creative feedback etc
- Develop the media strategy and plans for all teams across owned, earned and paid media channels,, setting and implementing the end to end media briefing and delivery process with all marketing teams in the business.
- Oversee media briefing and ensuring our aggregate media approach is efficient and effective for the business
- Benchmarking plans and buying prices, ensuring our commercial model with the media agency is optimised to our requirements
- Deliver all email marketing requirements – striving to deliver continuous improvements in open rates and conversion – working with BU team to optimise their email marketing activities, and brand team to optimise and refresh email templates
What are we looking for?
- Significant experience in leading marketing communication and/ or marketing services functions in FTSE 100 or equivalent business
- Marketing communications and media expert with proven experience in commissioning and producing highly effective advertising campaigns and content programmes across both digital and traditional channels
- Significant experience in stakeholder management, presenting creative work and influencing senior stakeholders
- Used to leading and integrating internal teams and external agencies to deliver market-leading creative and media outputs.
- Expert in working in highly matrixed organisations and across multiple brands, managing and influencing senior stakeholders
- Deep agency management experience (Advertising, media and production)
