Position Description

The Community Developer will be responsible for creating and growing our communities around Ubisoft games. You will master player communication, feedback cycles, and best-practice deployment and maintenance. This role will focus primarily on gathering and sharing player feedback to improve the gaming experience across all Assassin’s Creed projects in development. You will work closely with production teams to ensure that player feedback positively influences development and communication and helps shape the future of the brand.

This position will also provide guidance to members of cross-functional teams to facilitate collaborative planning and execution of deliverables at high quality standards. As a member of the global community team, this role will be embedded within key development studios.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

· Develop and implement community strategic plans using various content tactics to support production goals and reinforce overall marketing strategy.

· Shape player feedback cycles and provide insights to production and publishing teams to influence game experience, drive player retention, and help position messaging and marketing rhythms.

· Act as a spokesperson for Assassin’s Creed. Coordinate community-focused events, including but not limited to fan studio tours or exclusive play sessions to gather player feedback.

· Serve as the primary advocate for player needs within production and publishing teams to positively influence development and communication positioning on behalf of our players and business objectives.

· Collaborate and coordinate with live teams for post-launch communication. Set expectations on applicable situations such as content, status, and patch delivery.

· Manage and produce internal reports on community feedback, activities, and expectations.

· Support internal and external milestones, such as betas and launches, to ensure key performance indicators are met and promote the player experience.

· Coordinate communications, activities, and initiatives with multiple international departments to ensure message consistency and cohesion.

· Leverage community managers, cross-functional teams, and relevant partner resources to create meaningful content for our players (e.g., blogs, podcasts, interviews, infographics, etc.).

· Collaborate with the portfolio social media manager to define and report on content-related KPIs to demonstrate the success and ROI of community programs and content.

· Travel abroad may be required.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

· Intermediate experience in managing online communities and developing strategic plans or programs with proven results in a professional setting.

· Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to filter and implement player feedback.

· Event organization experience is a major asset.

· Experience in the video game industry across multiple gaming platforms (required).

· Deep knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok, Discord, etc.) is required.

· Experience in a demanding production environment with multiple deadlines, success metrics, and stakeholders.

· Solid understanding of creating and sustaining video game community growth, as well as developing and executing player engagement strategic plans.

· Fluency in French.

· AAA title launch experience is a major asset.

· Social media marketing experience is a major asset.

· Digital asset creation experience (video, photo, podcasts, etc.) is a major asset.

· Familiarity with multiple game genres is an asset.
