We’re Atom bank

The bank that’s leading the fintech charge!

We’re not like the rest. We’re true innovators, and we’re redefining what a bank should be. Ours is a bank for today and the future, a mobile-first bank. Forget the stuffy branches, with Atom you can bank whenever, wherever, faster, and simpler.

Could you be the next innovator to join us?

What will your ‘typical’ day look like? Different that’s for sure…:

Atom’s Commercial department is at the forefront of designing innovative products, driven by deep customer insight and market intelligence. We’re seeking a unique talent – a Commercial Data Analyst – who can bridge the gap between advanced data science and strategic business decisions.

This isn’t just an analytics role; you’ll be central to building sophisticated models that directly influence our Savings products and growth objectives. You’ll be integrated within our Data Science & AI team, ensuring your insights are impactful and directly shape Atom’s financial trajectory.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Strategic Insights: Lead the identification and quantification of key drivers behind customer deposit behaviour and performance through advanced statistical analysis.
  • Forecasting & Optimisation: Develop sophisticated and robust forecasting models for deposit balances, providing crucial inputs for Commercial, Treasury, and FP&A, and optimising the bank’s funding and liquidity.
  • Product & Pricing Analytics: Design and develop advanced pricing and elasticity models to inform strategic product development and pricing decisions.
  • Impactful Collaboration: Work closely with Commercial, Financial Planning, and our Data Science & AI teams to build, maintain, and implement powerful analytical models and assumptions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies in deposit data, implementing monitoring processes to track actual performance and interdependencies.
  • Data-Driven Culture: Contribute to establishing a clear operating model for data-driven decision-making within Savings.

What do we need from you?

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability in statistical modelling and robust forecasting.
  • Skilled in coding with R or Python for data manipulation and in-depth analysis.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis, with a strong commitment to data accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A keen ability to understand customer deposit behaviour and market dynamics, translating complex data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts and data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences, influencing strategic decisions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic cross-functional team.

What you’ll get from us?

  • Flexible hybrid working (Newcastle from September)
  • Salary up to £45,000
  • 4-day work week
  • Incredibly generous company pension scheme (maximum of 13% of Atom input – you can put in more)
  • ‘All About Me’ fund: £200 per year to spend on personal development.
  • 22.5 days annual leave plus public holidays
  • Private Medical Insurance, Health Cash Plan & Life Insurance
  • Electric Vehicle Scheme
