Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead our information security strategy and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our cloud infrastructure and customer data. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive security program that aligns with Civo's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a strategic information security plan that protects Civo's cloud infrastructure, customer data, and intellectual property
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations, to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business
• Provide leadership and guidance on security best practices, compliance, and risk management
• Build and manage a high-performing security team, including recruiting, training, and developing security talent
• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and industry certifications (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA)
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation and remediation
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors
• Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and advise the executive team on security-related matters

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful security programs in a cloud computing environment
• Strong technical expertise in cloud security, including experience with cloud providers
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
• Experience with security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection, encryption, and identity and access management
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) a plus

Nice to Have:

• Experience with DevOps and agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of emerging security technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Experience with cloud security platforms and tools
