Vacancy Details

Duration: 2 xPermanent roles available.

Location: This role is based in The Quadrant:MK This role is a full-time opportunity, flexible working patterns will be considered.You must live within 75 minutes of The Quadrant.

Band & Salary: Band 5 £26000

Brief Description

Who are we looking for? We are looking for a Business Review Assistant for a Permanent Position (full time) based in Milton Keynes. To provide full administrative support ensuring the smooth running of the office systems, combined with full coordination of the workflow system, utility invoice processing and compliance with local authorities' requirements for business rates.

Point of contact for queries – inbox management and will be responsible for updating requests on our system. Responsible for raising POs, chasing, and updating workflow requests, process utility invoices, liaise with local authorities and other external stakeholders.

About the team.. Network Rail Group Property is the central commercial development division of the organisation working closely with the Regions to deliver development schemes. Through our development activities we seek to create exceptional spaces which improve passenger experience and generate value for the railway. As one of Britain’s largest property owners, the Group Property team is at the core of delivering our ambition to provide a safe, reliable and efficient railway fit for the 21st century.

It is a very exciting time to be joining the Group Property team as we have a number of truly transformational regeneration projects across the Eastern Region that will add billions of pounds of gross value to the communities we serve.

What does the average day look like? We are looking for a dedicated Business review assistant to manage and update workflow records, ensuring clarity and timely closure of job progress while handling invoicing and accounting discrepancies. The role includes processing utility invoices and business rates, resolving supplier queries, and maintaining relationships with utility providers and Councils for timely payments and resolution of discrepancies.

Key responsibilities also include general administration tasks such as managing multiple email inboxes, maintaining updated systems and finance documentation, and providing exceptional customer service. Business review assistant will be responsible for managing client requests, improving processes, and supporting regional teams to proactively address and resolve complaints. Successful candidates will possess strong organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Essential Criteria

·Knowledge of managing data using relevant processes and systems

·Knowledge of assurance methods and reporting shortfalls to shape remedial plans for stakeholders.

·Proven experience to multi-task

·Experience of SharePoint administration

·Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications

·Excellent time management Strong organisation skills

·Good communication skills (verbal and written) including excellent telephone manner.

Desirable Criteria

·Sound railway background and knowledge of railway geography

·Recognised qualification in keyboard associated skills and office management techniques

·Knowledge and experience of records management
