About this role

Our growing Private Business Tax & Advisory (Business Services) team is looking for an experienced accountant to join the Perth office as an Associate.

Business leaders face many challenges throughout the business lifecycle: from managing daily operations, tax and compliance, to navigating a competitive landscape and planning an exit strategy. As part of our ‘Reach for Remarkable’ brand promise, Grant Thornton’s people are committed to providing a strikingly different client experience that is agile, authentic, and personal.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships as part of an effective client service delivery team
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to wider firm initiatives across the business

Skills and experience

You will have an interest in taxation and in the ‘nuts and bolts’ of accounting, while bringing a caring, conscientious, and practical approach to your clients. You enjoy applying your analytical and critical thinking skills to problems in order to find innovative solutions that are tailored to each client’s unique situation.

  • In the process of completing your CA qualification
  • At least 1 year’s professional experience within a chartered accounting environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven environment and be adaptable to work across multiple managers
  • Experience in the use of Xero accounting software will be highly regarded

If you’re interested in this role but don’t feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team.
