The opportunity
Looking for an experienced Business Analyst who can provide expertise inputs into business decisions through data analysis of trends and business opportunities using both standard and specialised models/systems.
Your new role:
In this role, you will work closely with the commercial underwriting team and across multiple functions to provide the business with technical expertise and data insights to help improve our performance, expand our portfolios and achieve our strategic initiatives. This technical role will see you use your skills to extract data from systems, analyse the portfolio products and report on findings to senior stakeholders. The commercial products comprise of Motor, Liability, Personal Injury/Accident and more.
You will:
- Engage with key stakeholders across the business and act as a trusted advisor to provide insights and ideas for improvement
- Deliver timely and accurate data through models, reports, analysing and communicating results, responding to complex business issues and providing best practice solutions to assist with company direction and decision-making
- Analyse data extracted from multiple systems in comparison to prior months or years and our competitors
- Support team members to derive trends, conclusions and recommendations based on data and analysis
- Formulate strategy for the commercial products – Motor, Liability, Personal injury, Workers Compensation and Property
About you
You will be a seasoned business analyst who can drive business improvements through data-driven insights and process optimisation. Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, analyse workflows, and support strategic decision-making. Havea a good understanding and able to leverage various technical tools to streamline operations and enhance business performance.
You will have:
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and strong communication skills
- Proven experience as a business or data analyst professional
- General insurance knowledge
- SAS database, SQL and Data warehouse knowledge preferred
- You are a confident, driven and possess initiative who is comfortable engaging with leadership
- You are customer-centric and have a passion for opportunities to modernise and automate
