As an Associate Product Manager, you’ll work closely with the Product Manager for your assigned value stream as part of a cross-functional team. You’ll support the evaluation of what products, functionality and capability Atom should build and support the design, development, and value proposition of Atom products on behalf of the relevant product value stream (mortgages, business lending and savings).
You’ll play a key role in ideation, evaluating what problem we are solving sizing the market, co-ordinating consumer research with the customer experience team, competitor analysis, target market and helping define the business model for their value stream. Atom’s culture dictates that the approach to product management is highly customer orientated, with an emphasis on transparency, fairness, and value. You’ll ensure customer insight and feedback informs decisions, alongside wider market dynamics and a core objective to be differentiated digitally versus the rest of the market.
You’ll work closely with a variety of stakeholders to support the business strategies and plans, helping define how we should build products in your value stream, prioritising product requirements and managing scope based on the Product Roadmap.
You will also support the Product Manager in establishing value trade-offs, forecasting and product planning, change management and user testing. Once the products are live, you’ll take part in evaluating performance against agreed launch success metrics.
What will your ‘typical’ day look like…. (there’s no two days the same in Atom):
- Produce Iterative development and Iteration planning
- Ensure that the development team has sufficient clarity for each sprint
- Troubleshoot and manage issues during development (from product perspective)
- Value capture once the feature/product goes live
- Manage risks and assumptions that may influence value from development
- Collate Customer feedback – root cause analysis and resolution Product strategy and functionality ideation
- Map product level customer journeys
What do we need from you?
- Be data-driven and articulate
- Be commercially astute and customer oriented.
- Possess strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Have up to date external market knowledge and insight into Financial Services market trends
- Knowledge of proposition design through using customer insight led techniques
- An awareness of Retail & Business Banking customer product/propositions
