As an Associate Producer, you will drive the development of the game’s content. You will lead one or more multidisciplinary teams to bring your assigned portion to life from start to finish. You will combine well-designed workflows with clear expectations so that your team members can do their best work and optimize their talents.
Through careful planning, monitoring, and supervision, you will keep the development on track, ensuring time is devoted to the right tasks and making adjustments as needed.
While pushing production capacity and quality, you will ensure your team is ready and able to deliver its part of the game on time and in a supportive environment.
What you will do:
- Partner with the leadership team to understand the overall vision and requirements of the game and communicate them to the entire production team.
- Define the scope of your specific domain: determine deliverables, quality objectives, key milestones, and establish development strategies and budgets.
- Set up everything needed to prepare for production: develop workflows and pipelines, and implement ways to facilitate collaboration among colleagues.
- Set clear objectives for your team members and ensure the process to achieve those objectives is as smooth as possible.
- Anticipate risks and implement action plans to overcome them.
- Meet with your team to clarify milestones, prioritize deliverables, review progress, address concerns, provide guidance, and gather feedback.
- Sync with the producer, production director, and production managers on progress, momentum, and budget tracking.
- Identify opportunities to improve and evolve our processes, methods, and practices.
- Participate in recruitment to build your team and foster its professional development and career progression.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in production or project management in the video game industry.
- High flexibility to adapt to a range of situations and manage interdependencies.
- Familiarity with various project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- A thoughtful, collaborative, and innovative mindset.
- A people-focused approach: you care about results, but you never lose sight of the dedicated people creating them.
