REED Further Education Exclusive Opportunity

REED Further Education branch is exclusively partnering with a Professional Academy at a University based in the Republic of Ireland. Initially launched in 2020, the academy is now recruiting part-time, temporary Lecturers across a broad range of subjects to expand its course offerings and is seeking subject matter experts with experience in training.

About the Role

Teaching remotely via a popular online platform, you will be training working professionals looking to:

  • Upskill
  • Validate and consolidate their skills
  • Explore new areas in a variety of subjects

Courses are typically around 30-36 hours, delivered on evenings Monday - Thursday (1 day a week), with each lesson lasting 3 hours. The courses, although not currently accredited, are offered at a level equivalent to Level 6 in the National Framework of Qualifications. Each course is thoughtfully developed by an internal team and the delivery quality-assured to maintain high standards.

  • Introduction to AI
  • Digital Transformation
  • Process Automation Technology
  • Cognitive Insight Technology
  • Industry Developments
  • Strategy and Implementation

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Substantial and demonstrable experience in training in a comparable context or institution.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in the field of expertise. Two years of experience delivering training in the subject can be part of this timeframe.
  • Proven experience and track record of delivering high-quality, relevant, and engaging professional training.
  • Ability to adhere to set standards, course guidelines, and syllabi.
  • Experience assessing students and grading set tasks.
  • Willingness to undertake course administration, monitor and update attendance, tackle student queries, and upload information to systems.

Previous experience of teaching online, making learning interactive by creating videos, PowerPoints, etc. will be considered highly advantageous. Own IT equipment is a prerequisite.
