Xponent21 is seeking an AI Content & SEO Editor to help fuel our next era of growth through AI-powered content engineering. You’ll combine editorial precision, SEO expertise, and AI fluency to review, edit, and enhance AI-generated content across diverse industries — ensuring every piece is accurate, engaging, optimized for search, and aligned with client goals.

In this hands-on production role, you’ll work closely with Account Strategists and our Content Engineering team to evolve AI workflows, refine prompts, and elevate the quality and efficiency of large-scale content production.

Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and enhance content for clarity, accuracy, tone and brand alignment.
• Apply advanced SEO best practices to ensure all content is optimized for organic search visibility and user engagement — including keyword optimization, metadata, internal linking, and content structuring for intent.
• Optimize for emerging discovery channels, including AI Overviews and large language models (LLMs), to ensure content is discoverable and authoritative across platforms.
• Collaborate with Account Strategists, Developers and Creative teams to ensure all content aligns with client goals, technical SEO best practices, and brand strategy.
• Maintain editorial quality and consistency across large-scale content production efforts.
• Conduct light research to validate factual accuracy and ensure contextual depth across niche industries.
• Support content delivery schedules by maintaining high output efficiency without compromising editorial integrity or strategic focus.
• Contribute to the evolution of Xponent21’s AI-driven content workflows by testing tools, refining prompts, and identifying new efficiencies.
• Work closely with our Content Engineering team to identify and implement improvements in AI-assisted workflows to drive content quality and production efficiency.
• Participate in quality assurance reviews to ensure all published content meets client and agency standards.

Success in this role will be measured by content quality, search visibility growth, and continuous improvement in AI-assisted efficiency and workflow innovation.

Skills Required

• 3-5 years of experience in content editing, SEO copywriting, or digital content production.
• Strong grasp of on-page SEO, keyword optimization, and content structuring for user experience and search intent.
• Proven editorial and proofreading skills with a meticulous eye for grammar, clarity, and flow.
• Hands-on experience using and optimizing AI tools (e.g., AirOps, ChatGPT, Jasper) for scalable content production, including prompt refinement, workflow testing, and quality assurance of AI outputs.
• Working knowledge of content management systems, Google Workspace, and collaboration platforms.
• Understanding of content analytics and how performance metrics inform optimization strategies.
• Demonstrated success improving content performance through on-page SEO techniques and data-driven insights.
• Ability to rapidly gain subject-matter fluency across unfamiliar industries through research and critical thinking.
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced, high-output environment.
• Clear written communication and collaborative skills with strategists, developers, and designers.
• Eagerness to experiment with emerging AI and automation technologies in marketing.

Desired Skills

• Experience developing or managing content workflows that incorporate AI or automation.
• Background in technical SEO or marketing analytics.
• Understanding of content taxonomy, schema markup, or structured data concepts.
