Job Purpose
BBC is seeking a Manager of Advertising Audience Solutions to lead the development and execution of data-informed audience solutions that drive revenue growth and advertiser success. This individual will be responsible for creating and implementing tools and strategies that integrate audience insights, segmentation, and activation into BBC’s advertising business.
This role will work cross-functionally to ensure that first-party and third-party data, cross-platform intelligence, and performance benchmarks are translated into scalable, high-impact audience solutions that align with commercial goals.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and maintain a strategy for how BBC brings audience insights and segmentation to the advertising marketplace.
- Create clear, data-driven positioning that highlights BBC’s unique audience capabilities and supports pre-sales efforts.
Data Solutions & Activation:
- Build and maintain compelling, data-driven narratives for pre-sales pitches and strategic positioning.
- Leverage cross-platform audience insights and performance benchmarks to inform content, product and platform client-strategy development (on- and off- BBC O&Os).
- Partner with Ad Operations and off-O&O channel/distribution teams to deploy and optimize audience targeting strategies for campaigns.
- Support Client Success with post-campaign reporting, insights, and renewal strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Sales, Partner Solutions, StoryWorks and Research teams to align data strategies with client objectives and support insights-driven campaign development and successful program execution
- Build deep relationships with BBC Studios data and product leads to foster partnerships and collaboration.
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in audience development, data strategy, or related fields within media, publishing, or technology sectors, with a focus on translating audience insights into commercial success.
- Demonstrated success in developing and supporting audience solutions that improve advertiser outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of audience intelligence platforms, DMPs/CDPs (e.g., Permutive), behavioral analytics, and audience activation tools.
- Expertise in managing first-party and third-party data sources, as well as cross-platform audience integration, to optimize targeting and performance.
- Proven success in collaborating with ad sales, media planning, campaign execution, and editorial analytics teams to ensure audience solutions meet advertiser KPIs.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize audience data into actionable recommendations for sales and marketing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of translating complex data strategies into compelling narratives for internal teams, advertisers, and agency partners
Compensation
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. This range does not include bonus compensation or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position.This range is not inclusive of a competitive bonus, flexible, hybrid working schedule & benefits including but not limited to: 100% BBCS covered medical & dental insurance, vision, & 401k match.
