Who are we?

We want to be the best place that any of our 6,600 colleagues have ever worked.

The role

You will support a significant change programme that will deliver structural changes to with-profits funds such as mutualising 90:10 funds, merging funds, buying out of blocks of business and internal reinsurance by supporting qualified actuaries to develop proposals and solutions to simplify our with-profits funds, ensuring the needs of with profits customers are being met.

You will update analyses to assess the impact of proposals on customer outcomes and consider the fairness of proposals for different groups of customers along with helping to prepare papers and reports for senior management, internal governance committees, boards and regulators.

Along with building proficiency in communicating effectively with a technical and non-technical audience, through simplifying complexity, to allow informed decision making and controlled risk-taking

  • Part or nearly qualified actuary ideally with experience of with-profits management, with-profits reporting or working on actuarial projects to deliver change
  • Ideally have experience in delivering structural changes to with-profits funds such as fund mutualisation, fund mergers, buying out of blocks of business, internal reinsurance

We want to hire the whole version of you.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.
