Who are we?

We want to be the best place that any of our 6,600 colleagues have ever worked.

We’re the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement business. We offer a range of products across our market-leading brands, Standard Life, SunLife, Phoenix Life and ReAssure. Around 1 in 5 people in the UK has a pension with us. We’re a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050, and we’re not done yet.

The role

You will form part of the ERM Development team within Open Actuarial Reporting and Change. The team is responsible for the onboarding, securitisation and delivery of change relating to ERM into BAU reporting along with supporting a suite of regular MI and BAU obligations relating to this asset class.

In this role you will be expected to take a key role on the regular production of MI, VCTs and quarterly reporting activities the team undertakes. You will work closely with project actuaries and review actuaries within the team to support changes and testing to the ERM model and all the EUCs/Tools/processes that the team maintains to ensure safe reporting of the ERM business.

Throughout the role, you will be expected to operate within strict timescales and work in compliance with prescribed control standards including ensuring appropriate audit trails are maintained.

What are we looking for?

  • You will understand the importance of following processes but also apply your knowledge and own thinking to analyse and make improvements.
  • You will enjoy communicating clearly and effectively ideas, information, plans and opinions and updates to internal stakeholders.
  • You should be able to apply checking, reporting and auditing principles, and monitor systems and services in order to identify risks.
  • You will demonstrate good Excel/VBA/R skills with an ability to pick up new software quickly.

We want to hire the whole version of you.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.

If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.

Please note that we reserve the right to remove adverts earlier than the advertised closing date. We encourage you to apply at the earliest opportunity.
