Job Type:  Permanent

Location: This role could be based in around any of the main Phoenix locations (Edinburgh, Wythall or London offices with time spent working in the office and at home)

Salary and benefits: £60,000 - £80,000 (dependant on experience) plus 16% bonus up to 32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more

The role

As an integral member of the Actuarial Review Team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the resourcing and cost of the activity in the Actuarial Review team
  • Putting processes in place to manage the activity planning in the team
  • Supporting the Actuarial Review Team leads in managing the activity of the wider team and available capacity
  • Supporting the Head of Actuarial Review in the day to day management of the team
  • Being the Actuarial Review main point of contact for business projects including liaising with the projects to agree resourcing profile
  • Supporting the development of the service catalogue for the Actuarial Review team and managing the changes to this with various stakeholders.
  • Balancing competing priorities on different pieces of work in challenging timescales.
  • Being able to adapt to the requirements of different types of work by planning and organising effectively.
  • Keeping technical & business knowledge up to date in area of expertise.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience working and leading an Actuarial / Finance Team
  • You will be a Qualified Actuary or Qualified by Experience
  • Demonstrate ability to put new processes in place to create efficiency
  • Experience of managing resource and cost effectively
