Full Time / Part Time Accounts & Tax Manager
Our client, a small practice based in Amersham, is looking for an Accounts & Tax Manager. A combination of office and remote working is offered, along with flexible hours. This role is a part of a dynamic team responsible for a range of accountancy services.
Key Responsibilities
You will play an integral role in shaping financial strategies, liaising closely with the Practice Director and Associate Director. As an individual, you must be comfortable in a client-facing role, meeting clients and discussing their accounts and business. You should ensure the effective and timely completion of all tasks while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Comprehensive review and finalisation of financial accounts.
- Review of tax computations (corporation/income tax), with a proactive approach to tax planning opportunities for clients.
- Analysis of management insights, focusing on cash flows and financial forecasts.
- Mentoring and supervising junior staff, encouraging their professional growth.
- Demonstrating confidence to hold and manage client meetings, ensuring clarity, trust, and mutual understanding.
Special Requirements
- Minimum 6 years in a financial role (with minimum 2 years being post-qualification) and with strong all-round knowledge in tax and accounts.
- Certified ACA (preferred) or ACCA.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- An ability to organise, prioritise, and meet pressing deadlines.
- Good knowledge of Cloud accounting software (example: Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
- A passionate commitment to service excellence and upholding the firm's prestigious standards.
