ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
As an Account Supervisor on the Cities team, you will…
- Conceptualize and drive new story angles and other media opportunities for clients: such as landing feature stories even when there is no news to announce, or drafting a persuasive and compelling pitch on behalf of a client for a high-profile interview, award or conference
- Place numerous stories through persistence and creativity: identifying new targets and trying new approaches until the story lands
- Write high-quality client deliverables such as strategic plans, press releases, talking points, invites, LinkedIn content, social copy and blogs with minimal oversight
- Serve as day-to-day client contact & lead client calls while managing client communications in a timely manner
- Conceptualize and execute client event activations from press conferences and openings to experiential marketing activations
- Ideate and secure partnerships and promotions with like-minded brands and media partners
- Work cross-functionally within the BerlinRosen portfolio to deliver the best solutions for clients, including earned, owned and paid channels as appropriate
- Drive day-to-day execution with little guidance and stay on track of client deliverables
Essential skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading communications strategy with a PR agency
- Experience in media relations in real estate, business, corporate communications, executive thought leadership and urbanism
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to provide examples of pitches and other materials that clearly demonstrate these capabilities
- Versatile writer, who is comfortable and well versed in writing in an informal, conversational tone and addressing people more formally when necessary
- Savviness and creativity in media relations and pitching, social media content ideation and influencer engagement, with the knowledge to identify new targets and thoughtful angles until the story lands
- Ability to confidently communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing, with varying levels of staff, clients and the media, and is comfortable thinking on their feet
- Organized with a proven ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to become a savvy and nimble student of the “news” and quickly identify new media opportunities and narratives to insert our clients’ voices into the news cycle
