Location: Newmarket - Hybrid, 2-days on-site, 2-days WFH

Hours: 32 hours across a 4-day week (no salary sacrifice)

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000

Secure Schools is a cutting-edge ed-tech start-up dedicated to making schools safer from cyber threats. We achieve this with our unique cyber security management app tailored specifically for schools. We're experts in both cyber security and education, which means we understand the challenges schools face inside and out. We work closely with school leaders, IT departments, and service providers to offer unbiased, effective solutions that foster a safer and more secure educational landscape.

Job snapshot:

As an Account Manager, you’ll focus on building robust relationships with prospects in the education sector to maximise growth plans.

As an early hire, you’ll enjoy working alongside the leadership team to help establish the right sales and account management strategies and processes, providing the opportunity to shape the way we work directly.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build and nurture critical relationships through top-class customer service
  • Acts as the first point of contact for any account queries
  • Deliver demonstrations of the platform to customers and key stakeholders
  • Understand stakeholder needs and support them in their success with Secure Schools
  • Manage and deliver pipeline projects from inception to execution
  • Research and network with desired organisations and individuals to support portfolio growth
  • Create, prepare, and deliver reports on the status of key projects and opportunities
  • Deliver support via email, video call, and phone
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services to existing clients
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Research new and innovative ways of working and implement processes accordingly
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues within Secure Schools to support wider business objectives in areas of expertise
  • Collaborate with wider teams to further define and expand the scope of existing opportunities

What we’re hoping you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in account management, client services, or sales
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels of an organisation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for revenue growth and client retention
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Hubspot advantageous)
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional client service and driving business outcomes
  • Self-motivation with the confidence and enthusiasm to take the initiative and get things done
  • The desire to learn and take on new challenges
  • Natural in identifying and approaching new ideas
  • Good attitude towards individual and team success
