Job description
As a Modeling Artist within the Rainbow Six Siege "World" team at Ubi MTL, you will shape the objects and elements that make up the game's 3D universe.
With care and precision, using studio-specific tools and industry-standard software, you will produce high-quality 3D models for environmental elements such as architectural structures, vehicles, set dressing props and interactive objects. While respecting the constraints related to art direction, memory and rendering, you will continually push the limits through your resourcefulness and imagination.
Collaboration will be at the heart of your work: whether derived from defined plans or original ideas, your creations will integrate harmoniously with those of your colleagues to provide players with immersive and coherent environments.
What you will do
- Model complex 3D environments including buildings, structures, vehicles, set dressing props and interactive objects;
- Work from concepts, references or your imagination to create prototypes and final models;
- Respect artistic, technical and performance constraints (LOD, collisions, lightmaps, etc.);
- Collaborate closely with art, design and technical teams to ensure smooth integration of assets into the game engine;
- Adapt your creations according to feedback from testing, development and gameplay teams;
- Participate in establishing environmental modeling standards and propose improvements to existing workflows;
- Identify production risks related to assets and anticipate solutions before modeling begins;
- Research and experiment with new tools and techniques to optimize efficiency and the visual quality of environments.
Qualifications
What you bring to the team
- Experience in 3D modeling, ideally in the video game industry;
- Good knowledge of 3D software (3DS Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, etc.);
- Ability to work autonomously while knowing when to ask for help and ask questions when needed;
- Ability to organize your priorities in a dynamic production context;
- Team spirit and openness to others' ideas;
- Good general culture (architecture, art history, mechanical and industrial logic, etc.);
- Insatiable curiosity and a strong interest in technical tools and emerging trends in 3D modeling.
What to send us
- Your CV highlighting your education, experiences and skills;
- A portfolio of your best 3D work (attach images or a link to your personal site or online portfolio).
