2D-3D Artist

As a 2D-3D Artist at Ubisoft Montreal, you will play a key role in creating visuals that support storytelling and cinematic staging. You will guide the team to ensure artistic consistency while directly contributing to the production of images and animations that serve the project's creative vision.

What You Will Do:

  • Create images from briefs or concepts while respecting cinematic art direction.
  • Perform precise image processing in Photoshop.
  • Research and propose visual references suited to the style and universe of the project.
  • Execute simple 2D animations in motion graphics (Mograph).
  • Coordinate the team's deliverables to align with the initial brief and expected quality.
  • Support art direction in preparing and rolling out briefs and style guides.
  • Perform posing, lighting, and rendering in 3D software or a game engine.
  • Develop creative concepts from detailed briefs.
  • Provide constructive and precise feedback to improve the team's work.

Qualifications: What You Bring to the Team:

  • Creativity and ability to design original solutions.
  • Organization and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Tact and precision in delivering feedback.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Maya and/or Blender, After Effects.
  • Knowledge of engines and tools like Unreal, Anvil, Snowdrop, V-Ray, Substance, ZBrush, Premiere is a plus.
  • Strong interest in creative uses of artificial intelligence.
