The details:

  • Seeking a current university student studying law to join our dynamic in-house legal team!
  • Work part time - 2 to 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), depending on what suits your study needs.
  • Appointment will be for 12 months or the duration of your undergraduate studies if less.
  • $34.68 per hour + 12% super Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 1 of EBA5
  • Location: Strathpine

We are looking for an energetic person to join the team on a part time basis to be negotiated around our requirements and your study needs. You will be responsible for a variety of legal operations and research tasks as well as other support tasks to assist our busy team.

You will be currently enrolled in relevant university studies and be available to work a minimum of 21.75 hours (generally over 3-4 days) per week (Monday to Friday).

You will be studying a degree in law, have demonstrated legal research skills, a strong attention to detail, experience with the use of a variety technology systems, be proficient in Microsoft Office, a positive attitude and a desire to gain valuable on the job skills.

Our Legal Services Department is responsible for the delivery of legal services to the organisation by providing support to the CEO, Directors and Managers in order to help achieve Council’s objectives while protecting its interests.
