Position
Job Purpose (Role Definition):
Support the Production Engineering Team
Ensure that designs are produced in accordance with the Company’s design procedures, Quality processes and comply with all necessary regulations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in electronic engineering support of production items for the Company.
- Provide ongoing technical support for existing products.
- Develop support equipment for production/service or supply partners when required.
- Communicate with third party/sub-contractors and relevant in-house staff where necessary to ensure project tasks are delivered effectively.
- Source and implement enhancements to existing products.
- Create and follow test scripts as part of validation tasks.
- Management of assets for Production Engineering department
- Leading design transfer activities for NPI to the manufacturing team, ensuring smooth transition
- Supporting Change Controls actions
- Designs, implements, and optimises manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

Requirements
Experience and Qualifications Required
Mandatory
- Degree in Engineering + Relevant work experience.
Desirable
- Knowledge of hardware and experience of PCB design and layout.
- Working Knowledge of PCB’s and looms.
- Experience in the preparation of design and test specifications
- A high standard of technical documentation.
- Knowledge of pneumatics/mechanical/software systems.
- First class analytical, communication and time management skills
Key Skills and Competencies
- Hands-on self-starter with excellent attention to detail;
- Proactive approach to problem solving with experience in root cause analysis.
- High standard of report writing skills and the ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics.
