Position

Job Purpose (Role Definition):

Support the Production Engineering Team

Ensure that designs are produced in accordance with the Company’s design procedures, Quality processes and comply with all necessary regulations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in electronic engineering support of production items for the Company.
• Provide ongoing technical support for existing products.
• Develop support equipment for production/service or supply partners when required.
• Communicate with third party/sub-contractors and relevant in-house staff where necessary to ensure project tasks are delivered effectively.
• Source and implement enhancements to existing products.
• Create and follow test scripts as part of validation tasks.
• Management of assets for Production Engineering department
• Leading design transfer activities for NPI to the manufacturing team, ensuring smooth transition
• Supporting Change Controls actions
• Designs, implements, and optimises manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications Required

Mandatory

• Degree in Engineering + Relevant work experience.

Desirable

• Knowledge of hardware and experience of PCB design and layout.
• Working Knowledge of PCB’s and looms.
• Experience in the preparation of design and test specifications
• A high standard of technical documentation.
• Knowledge of pneumatics/mechanical/software systems.
• First class analytical, communication and time management skills

Key Skills and Competencies

• Hands-on self-starter with excellent attention to detail;
• Proactive approach to problem solving with experience in root cause analysis.
• High standard of report writing skills and the ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics.
