Position
Job Purpose (Role Definition):
To manage the Company’s Infusion Therapy and Homecare business activities from beginning to end including the portfolio for all infusion therapies: promotion, sale, and after-sales support of the products.
To oversee the direct and indirect management of all aspects of the Infusion Therapy and Homecare business, including business development, , service, marketing, and to ensure that all staff have the correct training and tools to deliver the business needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve consistent results in support of the Company’s business plan in terms of sales, gross profit, market presence and brand awareness;
- Deliver the Infusion Therapies commercial targets in line with strategy;
- Co-ordinate and execute marketing activities and the strategy for the year alongside the Marketing manager, including exhibitions, events and social media;
- Support the Business Development Manager with business-to-business reviews with Home Healthcare Companies;
- Liaise with Quality Assurance on customer complaints processes and relay feedback to Principals;
- Manage all aspects of the Infusion Therapy product sales across the UK, ensuring that all staff under your supervision comply with and meet the requirements of their respective job descriptions;
- Provide product support nationally in conjunction with the Business Development Managers, Product Specialists and Clinical Support Specialists;
- Support the Technical Service Department in ensuring that the service level KPI’s and contracts are adhered to and the needs of the customer are met;
- Provide support to Business Development mangers in Homecare and acute therapies;
- Plan and execute strategies to convert accounts in private homecare and the NHS;
- Provide information to senior management including market trends, competitive activity, product design needs, regulatory requirements;
- Maintain thorough product knowledge to a competent level including ability to demonstrate products, position products versus competitive products and in-service end-users;
- Collaborate with the Product Specialists, Clinical Support Trainers, and appropriate Principal suppliers in planning and executing competency-based training programs;
- Ensure supply chain is robust and market trends, forecasting and demand are communicated in a timely manner to supply chain to ensure customer demand is met;
- Produce business development reports for senior management in order to qualify and support future investment;
- Support and ensure the Infusion Therapy team’s adherence to the Company’s Quality policy and objectives, and the requirements of the Company’s Business Management System, where required;
- Ensure that direct reports have the necessary qualities, competencies and appropriate tools to carry out their roles;
- Harness a working environment that encourages teamwork, energy and creativity;
- Monitor, assess and implement new strategies for enhanced team performance and an increased contribution to the Company’s profit margins;
- Address patient, customer and employee issues effectively and in a timely manner, seeking support and guidance where required;
- Actively participate as a member of the Senior Management Team;

Requirements
Experience and Qualifications Required:
Mandatory:
- Clinical knowledge of product application;
- Experience of managing staff and motivating a team;
- Building relationships and communicating successfully with physicians and hospital administrators;
- Proven experience of building and managing a successful team through the use of strong people management skills.
Desirable:
- Healthcare / medical device industry background;
- Experience in the sale of infusion medical products;
- Experience in delivering training and support on infusion medical products;
- Full driving licence and an ability to travel across the UK and Ireland.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- The ability to maximise sales opportunities of infusion therapy products to homecare companies, hospices and other acute and non-acute care service providers, and be effective in communicating value-based solutions;
- The ability to engage customers, deliver presentations, and communicate a clinical subject matter in an understandable, coherent manner;
- The ability to inspire and manage subordinate staff to achieve levels of excellence;
- The ability to learn quickly and establish a high degree of knowledge and expertise in infusion therapy products and their applications;
- The ability to devise sales strategy that addresses the market need;
- Have an understanding of the application of healthcare regulations and quality standards in UK markets;
- Commercial acumen and understanding of business objectives and budgets.
