We're seeking a Football Correspondent who can deliver top-tier tactical football analysis that’s engaging, accessible, and insightful. You'll use visuals, data, and expert commentary to bring key football stories to life across all BBC Sport platforms.

Main Responsibilities

• Cover the biggest tactical trends and stories in football.
• Use video clips, graphics, and data to create content that’s informative and easy to follow.
• Ensure fans leave each piece smarter about the game.
• Contribute written articles, digital explainers, radio segments, and support Match of the Day pundits.
• Play an integral role in enhancing our coverage of transfers and managerial shifts.
• Use social media to reach and engage new audiences.
• Mentor junior journalists and foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Champion diversity in our coverage and ensure content reflects our wide-ranging audience.

• Can clearly explain complex tactical ideas with simplicity and visual storytelling.
• Delivers quick-turnaround analysis tailored for multiple platforms.
• Builds relationships with key figures in football to enrich storytelling.

• Commands respect for their football knowledge—especially from those within the game.
• Extensive experience and a record of producing high profile journalism
• Coding skills is desirable and would be beneficial
