General Purpose

The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for taking direction from the Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics and completing assigned tasks in alignment with client needs and team objectives. They will be responsible for building and maintaining trusted client relationships, mentoring the client support team, and contributing to the development and implementation of innovative data solutions. The Data Analytics Manager will identify opportunities for new products and establish best practices for data use withing the solution development processes. There is an expectation that the Data Analytics Manager could be involved in more complex engagements and, if so, will have the opportunity to work toward gaining greater industry knowledge.

  • Manages, trains, and mentors a team of analysts and other professionals to ensure their development, career advancement, and success in serving clients.
  • Collaborates regularly with clients to identify and define their reporting needs, ensuring they have the data and insights required to operate their businesses effectively and profitably. Utilizes data analysis and modeling tools, demonstrating proficiency in handling large datasets and applying SQL best practices to optimize queries.
  • Continuallyhelpstouncoveraudienceinsightsbymininglargedatasets, including client data, Richey May’s benchmarking data, and publicly available data.
  • Offers strategic and operational guidance on data connection and integration approaches (including API integrations), collaborating with technical teams to minimize downtime and disruptions, while also developing plans to support clients’ ongoing data connectivity needs.
  • Drives innovation and continuous improvement by maintaining an open-minded approach to new tools, methodologies, and data strategies, and proactively exploring emerging technologies, products and services that could enhance BI capabilities or unlock new business value.
  • Workswithourprofessionalservicesandclientsupportteamstoensureclients’experience from purchase to production are smooth and well managed.
  • Oversees clients’ ongoing engagement with Richey May solutions, tracking adoption and usage to ensure optimal performance, and establishing a consistent communication cadence to support confident and effective use within their organizations.
  • Ensuresthatthe client supportteamisdeliveringvaluetoourclientstoachievetheiroptimum satisfaction.
  • Develops and sustains proactive, ongoing relationships with clients, serving as a reliable and trusted advisor to support their evolving needs.
  • Successfullydistills complex analysis into digestible insights that are communicated with client stakeholders to guide their decision-making process.
  • Helpsclientscreatereportingthatmeetstheirneedsandobjectives,mindfultouncoverwhat matters most and communicate that story with associated implications.
  • Ensuresthatallclientprojectsaredeliveredontimeandonbudget.
  • Managesongoingclientneedseffectivelytodrivehighclientretentionandloyalty.
  • Engageswithclientexecutivesandotherinfluentialstakeholderstoidentify,define,trackand measure the overall impact of our solutions on their organizations.
  • Advocates for client needs/issues cross-departmentally; works with other internal teams and stakeholders,andthirdparties/vendors,toensureclientsreceiveexceptionalserviceandthat their issues are resolved timely and to their satisfaction.
  • Delegatesprojecttasksbasedonjuniorstaffmembers’individualstrengths,skillsetsand experience levels.
  • Drivesadoptionwithinclientorganizationsandencouragestheiruseofavailableknowledge base and online support tools.
  • Applies deep knowledge and insight into clients’ businesses and industries to inform strategy and support decision-making.
  • Contributes to the creation of presentation materials tailored for clients and diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and impact.
  • Partnerswithinternalstakeholderstodeveloprenewalreadinessactionplanstoaddress any obstacles limiting adoption or creating renewal risks; works to ensure that clients renew licensing and services agreements.
  • Adheres to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
  • Anticipates and addresses client concerns. Escalates and resolves most problems as they arise.
  • Develops long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally.
  • Continuous effort toward professional development, including continuing education, attending training seminars and networking events.
  • Practices regular and predictable attendance. Communicates when that attendance will be disrupted in a reasonable time.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Displayscomfortinteractingwithandservingclients,uncoveringtheirneedsandgoalsrelated to budgeting and forecasting, and delivering solutions in a timely manner.
  • Demonstratedprojectmanagementskillsandexperience,withanabilitytomanageproactive and reactive tasks effectively, for multiple clients concurrently.
  • Experiencedeliveringanddrivingsoftwareimplementationandadoptionbestpractices.
  • Hightechnicalaptitudetolearnclientusecasesandarchitecturalrequirementsfordata analytics solutions.
  • Abilityandwillingnessto travel.
  • IntermediatetoadvancedskillswithSQLandExcel required.
  • Ability to follow all Richey May policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and guidelines.
  • Ability to actively participate and attend employee meetings.
  • Ability to promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Richey May.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure superior results and team success.

Education or Formal Training:

  • ABachelor’sdegreeinAccounting,Finance,ComputerScienceorInformationTechnology required.

Experience:

  • Aminimumoffive(5)yearsofclient-facingexperienceinClientSuccess,Sales,Account Management, Data Analytics, Customer Support, or Project Management role, within a technology environment is required.
  • Aminimumoftwo(2)yearofexperienceinthemortgageindustry,includingan understanding of the mortgage origination process.
  • ExperiencewithDomo,PowerBIor similar solutions is preferred.
  • Asolidunderstandingofapplication-programminginterface(API)functionalityispreferred.
  • Industry specific experience strongly preferred.

  • Candidates must pass a criminal background check.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $150,000 + Bonus

This salary band is based on position level but final compensation is determined by experience, location, and other relevant factors, so actual salary may vary.
