Position

Job Purpose (Role Definition):

The Clinical Support Trainer will provide training and support for Micrel infusion devices in both homecare and hospital settings. This role is on a bank basis (zero hours) and will support the Product Specialist in their area.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide product training for healthcare professionals and end users associated with Micrel infusion devices.
  • Deliver training sessions in both homecare and hospital settings to ensure competency in device usage.
  • Support the Product Specialist by assisting with training activities in their assigned area.
  • Support the Product Specialist with ensure training materials and content are up to date and aligned with the latest clinical and technical information.
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge, including the ability to demonstrate and educate on product usage.
  • Provide after-training support to ensure ongoing competency and confidence in device operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and provide reports as required.
  • Adhere to all relevant clinical and regulatory guidelines to ensure the safe and effective use of Micrel devices.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications Required

Mandatory

  • NMC registration
  • Experience in providing training and education to healthcare professionals
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel within the assigned area
  • DBS clearance.

Desirable

  • Healthcare / medical device industry background;
  • Experience with infusion devices in clinical practice;
  • Knowledge of homecare and hospital-based infusion therapy

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to deliver high-quality product training to healthcare professionals and patients
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Robust organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office competency
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly within the role requirements
  • Commitment to maintaining high training standards and patient safety
