Senior Business Development Advisor – FIXED TERM Up to 12 Months

Salary: This is a full time role with a full-time equivalent salary of up to £27,138 per annum.

Working Hours: 33 hours per week over 4 days, working one in four Fridays, 52 weeks per year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Development Advisor to join our Business Development department.

The purpose of the role is to support the curriculum to take forward/develop new business opportunities, working with curriculum colleagues and key employers.

The successful applicant must have:

  • GCSE or equivalent (includes Maths and English A* – C)

The roles main duties include:

  1. Supporting the curriculum to take forward/develop new business opportunities, working with curriculum colleagues and key employers.
  2. Working with the Vice Principal of Business Development with the development, implementation and review of relevant paperwork, processes and systems across employer responsive provision.
  3. Advising and preparing college colleagues to adapt to relevant changes to policy and funding so that the college can continue to strengthen employer engagement activity, maximise available funding and generate income
  4. Providing reports and updates to the Vice Principal of Business Development.
  5. Managing existing and new accounts, and all aspects of the employer experience from identification of training needs, presenting solutions and ensuring business delivery
  6. Undertaking training needs analysis activity with employers to identify skill gaps in workforce and offer portfolio of appropriate solutions
  7. Identifying and following up new business opportunities within expected timescales
  8. Promoting all college courses including Apprenticeships, Full Cost and Adult provision along with Employer Response initiatives
  9. Developing strong working rapport with employers and stakeholders by undertaking regular performance evaluations, feeding back comments and concerns to Head of Business Development
  10. Ensuring that the CRM system is maintained and updated with correct correspondence/paperwork for employer responsive activities
  11. Carrying out initial assessments with apprentices and arrange diagnostic testing
  12. Advertising apprenticeship vacancies on the National Apprenticeship Service and manage application process in a timely manner
  13. Promoting Apprenticeship opportunities to eligible candidates and match applicants with appropriate vacancies
  14. Assisting employers with interview and selection process if required
  15. Completing Apprenticeship provider/employer contract paperwork in line with funding guidance
  16. Maintaining knowledge of Apprenticeship programmes and requirements through relevant CPD
  17. Lead on promoting Apprenticeships and other training opportunities at local networks and events

This role requires you to engage in regulatory activity in the FE sector. The full definition of regulatory activity is set out in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 as amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. Regulated activity includes teaching, instructing, caring for or supervising children if the person is unsupervised.

Grantham College operate a 4-day working week. Staff benefit from working a full-time contract over four days. You will work core hours of Monday to Thursday, working a Friday morning once a month
