Born in 2010, Stripe helps companies of every size accept payments online and in person, embed financial services, and run revenue operations on a single, AI‑powered platform. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet by making moving money as easy and programmable as moving data.

Our team

We’re a global team based out of South San Francisco with significant hubs across the world. Stripes work across product, engineering, sales, operations, and more to support millions of businesses in 100+ markets and 135+ currencies and payment methods. We care about precision, reliability (five 9s historical uptime), and rapid iteration to deliver secure, high‑quality financial infrastructure. Where Stripe doesn’t publish exact figures (e.g., headcount), we rely on official job pages for policy details and use external estimates cautiously.
