Who we are
New Economy Coalition is a group of dedicated change-makers united by a mission to build a sustainable and just economy. Founded in 2012, our coalition brings together over 200 organizations committed to transforming traditional economic practices through community control and cooperative ownership. Although our direct team is comprised of 14 skilled professionals based in Cambridge, MA, our network’s impact spans the entire U.S., showcasing that another world is not only possible—it’s happening now.

Our team may be small in number, but every member plays a vital role in driving collective impact. Working out of Cambridge, MA, our 14-member team collaborates closely to support diverse initiatives in policy advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and sustainable community development. We believe in transparency, shared accountability, and in giving every voice a platform, which enhances our ability to operate with clarity and purpose.
