Who we are
KnowledgeOwl is helping make the world a better place with great customer service and powerful knowledge base software.
We're a small, 100% remote software company with a core belief that business can be a force for good. We currently have 8 owls, who are all working on our single software product, KnowledgeOwl.
What we do
We make knowledge base software. We value excellent customer support and service-driven ethical business practices.
Our customers (and wider blog audience) are from a variety of industries and backgrounds. When thinking about an article topic, please keep in mind that many of the readers are neither programmers, nor working closely with developers. For example, you cannot assume they will be aware of things like version control, linting, or build processes. Keep your topics general, but not too broad.

Working at Knowledge Owl
We typically employ contractors. If you like working with us and we like working with you, we will extend your contract. As a contractor, you specify your hourly rate and schedule. We do not offer insurance, retirement, or similar benefits. You should budget this into your hourly rate.
Most of our owls work about 25 hours per week. Each team member is able to set their own schedule that overlaps with US business hours. No company meetings on Mondays or Fridays!
