Who we are
We are taking the 4 day week global.
4 Day Week Global is a not-for-profit community established by Andrew Barnes and Charlotte Lockhart to provide a platform for like-minded people who are interested in supporting the idea of the 4 day week as a part of the future of work. This idea was born out of the waves of attention we received from around the world in reaction to our successful program launched at Perpetual Guardian in 2018.
Our team
We are a team of 9 based all over the world - in the USA, New Zealand, the UK and Ireland. We also have a partnership with the 4 Day Week UK Campaign.
Our mission
The time has come for a new way of thinking about the future of work and how we adapt ourselves and our businesses.
We believe the conversation for work needs to shift from time to productivity outcomes. By measuring the right indicators we can provide efficient work and allow for more time away from work.
As we have engaged with businesses and interested groups around the world, we have found there is a hunger for knowledge and community in support of this new way of working. We hope that 4 Day Week ā Global helps with this. Our aim is to be a connector and supporter of businesses who want to take the plunge and research into the effects of a shorter work week on our people, our businesses, our economies and our planet.
We do this by sponsoring through our Foundation research across the world with projects run out of the University of Oxford, the University of Auckland and Auckland University of Technology.
What we do
We know it can be daunting to start a process for a pilot. 4 Day Week Global is committed to helping you find the easiest way to reduce worker hours and increase productivity. You can join our global community with a pilot program.
